Join us for refreshment and against aback drop of café music in our specially prepared vintage tearoom in the Queen Victoria Hall on West Street. Take tea and enjoy an array of wonderful home made cakes, whilst enjoying the strains of a variety of light vintage musical entertainment in the background.
With the Queen Victoria will be transformed into a 40/50s café for the day, the entertainment starts at 10am with vintage DJ Colin Ray spinning a selection of records, yes 78s and some recorded on a drum, played on original equipment. Then follows Miss Lily Lovejoy and with a jazz set, then The French Connection a duo who play café sounds on sax and accordion, and also the Peterborough Flute Choir with a set of vintage melodies, and finally the Jively Sisters will complete the day at ‘Café QVH’.
All proceeds go to two local charities: Volunteer Action and Oundle & District Care.
