WHO WE ARE - WHY WE ARE DOING IT
BEHIND OVF
WHO IS BEHIND OVF 2024 AND WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
Oundle Vintage Festival was originally set up to be a one-off event to raise funds to fix the Town Clock. The original aims were met when the 2019 festival became a huge success and raised £10,000 to donate to the clock fund. Subsequently there were many requests to run the even again, so we tried again in 2020 but were forced to cancel due to the pandemic. Since then it has taken a while to build up a head of steam but we are glad to be back in 2024. Now backed with a grant funding thanks to North Northants Council and Oundle Town Council, and a new focus for funds we raise, we’re looking to put on a bigger and better Vintage Festival. A free to attend event, bringing together the community and attracting visitors, set against a backdrop of an historic town.
The main groups involved are…
- Oundle Business Association (volunteer co-ordinators)
- The Oundle Town Community Fund (where funds raised go)
- The wider Community of Oundle (groups & volunteers taking part)
- Our Sponsors and Grant Providers (supporting OVF to make it amazing)

OUR OBJECTIVES
AIMS
The Vintage Festival Organising Committee was set up by, and is now coordinated by representatives from Oundle Business Association and community volunteers.
There are various aims. The first is to create a ‘town event’ that attracts footfall to Oundle in order to highlight Oundle as a visitor destination and encourage local trade. Also (and not to be forgotten) we aim to provide local residents with a major local event to look forward to, take part in and enjoy. At the same time, the Festival will re-invest some of the receipts into improving the event and after this, pass the remaining ‘festival profits’ to a community fund that can be applied to by those who have projects that will benefit the town and local groups. You can find a full details of the Oundle Community Fund in the link below. To meet these aims we grateful for organisations that support us with grants and sponsorship.
